Power Mechanics and Automotive Technology courses allow students to work with a variety of sources of power and power transmission. Throughout the courses, students are introduced and explore the following: fluid power through experiments in pneumatics; electrical fundamentals; small gas engine fundamentals; an introduction to the automotive engine and its related systems. "Hands-on" experiments are required and will provide insight into practical applications of the laws of physics. This will enhance the student's general knowledge in the sciences and help them to be informed consumers regarding mechanical devices found in the home and industry.
